The meeting of Hucclecote Parish Council  planned for Monday 20th September has had to be cancelled;  therefore the next meeting will be held on Monday 18th October.  A Revised Agenda will be issued.

 Environment Agency - Flooding - 2005/10/13 20:42 This is definitely not an attempt to scaremonger but........ Has anyone noticed the number of times that the Environment Agency has been quoted in the media recently as: '...being very worried about the risk of flooding' in this or that area? Has anyone in Hucclecote Parva ()checked their chances of being flooded out by looking on the Environment Agency website or ringing them up? The point of this argument is, if the 'Authorities' are scaremongering in this way :-
a) Am I at risk?????
b) If so, wouldn't it be better to take some measures to reduce the risk NOW rather than waiting until some official in a suit tells you that you were warned!
c) Why are they so worried? We are making proper provision aren't we?
I would be interested in yr opinions!
